10 West Gallery - Autumn 2021

Two pieces by Lisa Crane have been included in the Autumn 2021 exhibition at 10 West Gallery. Crane’s show-stopping new piece End Game and her award-winning work Follow Me Into Your Dreams are both part of the show. Head downtown to see these stunning sculptures in person.

Santa Barbara Studio Artists - Open Studios Tour 2021

Lisa Crane will be opening up her home studio for the 20th annual Santa Barbara Studio Artists Open Studios Tour over Labor Day Weekend, September 4 - 6, 2021.

Come see where Crane brings her sculptures to life. View some of her life-size sculptures in person including her award-winning piece “Newborn” and her newest work “End Game.”

Opening reception is on Friday, September 3, 2021 5-8pm at Community Arts Workshop, 631 Garden Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93101. Tickets for the tour are available on the SBSA website.

10 West Gallery - Spring 2021 Exhibition

Lisa Crane is a member artist at 10 West Gallery in Santa Barbara, California. The gallery exhibits Crane’s latest works at least three times per year in the context of curated group shows. Crane is debuting her new wall-piece Considering Eve in their Spring 2021 show. Her piece Animal Spirit is also part of the exhibition. If you’re visiting downtown Santa Barbara, pop in to the gallery to see if you can catch Crane’s work on display.

Time & Memory

The Westmont Ridley-Tree Museum of Art’s Tri-County Juried Exhibition is virtual this year! The 2020 theme is Time & Memory. This annual juried exhibition features a selection of works by artists living and working in the three counties located on the Central Coast: San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura. For 2020, works were chosen by juror Christopher Miles, Professor, School of Art, California State University, Long Beach.

Ink and Clay 44

Crane’s piece Folie à Deux was selected for the upcoming exhibition Ink and Clay 44. This annual juried competition is open to artists working in the mediums of ink or clay. The competition culminates in an exhibition at the Kellogg University Art Gallery at CalPoly Pomona.

This year less than a third of nearly 400 submissions were selected by the jury. Ink and Clay represents the best in ceramics, clay sculpture, printmaking, ink drawing and mixed media artwork in these disciplines. Lisa Crane in honored to be included in this distinguished group. The clay juror was artist Susan Elizalde-Henson, the ink juror was artist Kimiko Miyoshi, and the curatorial juror was Juri Koll of the Venice Institute of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles.

SB Studio Artists Tour

Lisa Crane will be opening up her studio for the 18th annual Santa Barbara Studio Artists Open Studio Tour over Labor Day Weekend, August 31 - September 2, 2019.

Come see where Crane brings her sculptures to life. View some of her life-size sculptures in person including her award-winning piece “Follow Me Into Your Dreams.” Get the first look at some brand new smaller-scale sculptures she’s going to debut during the tour.

Opening reception is on Friday, August 30, 2019 5-8pm at Santa Barbara Fine Art.

Body and Soul

Crane’s latest sculpture, Splitting Hares, was included in the Westmont Ridley-Tree Museum of Art Tri-County juried exhibition. This year’s theme was “Body and Soul.” Works were selected by juror Roxanne Sexauer, Professor of Art at California State University, Long Beach. Only 50 works by 40 artists were selected.

Off Center

Crane’s sculpture Follow Me Into Your Dreams was selected to be shown in the 3rd Annual International Ceramics Competition Off Center at Blue Line Arts in Roseville, CA. Works were selected by juror Joshua Green, Executive Director of the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA).

Crane’s sculpture Follow Me Into Your Dreams was selected for the 9th Annual Visions of Clay exhibition and awards competition at the LH Horton Jr Gallery at San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton, CA. 60 works by 50 artists were selected for this show by juror Beth Ann Gerstein, Executive Director for the Museum of Ceramic Arts in Pomona, CA

“Visions In Clay is the largest exhibition of ceramic works in the San Joaquin Valley. It’s an exceptional show of craftsmanship and diverse style. Visions In Clay has been featured several times in the national magazine, Ceramics Monthly, including the September issue featuring the work of 2018 Visions In Clay artist, Alina Hayes.

Beth Ann Gerstien, Executive Director, Museum of American Ceramic Art, was this year’s guest juror who selected the works and awards for exhibition. The selection was based on quality of craftsmanship, unique content and form, as well as technical skill. This year’s exhibit features 58 works by 48 artists from around the country, including Stockton artist Kathy White.”

Night and Day

Two of Lisa Crane’s sculptures were selected for the annual Westmont Ridley-Tree Museum of Art Tri-County juried exhibition, Night & Day. 47 works by 42 artists were chosen by juror Bob Alderette, Associate Professor of Painting and Drawing in the Roski School of Art and Design, USC.
